Invisalign - what is it?

At Braces N Faces, we're Platinum Invisalign providers. This recognises our expertise and experience with this virtually invisible treatment method. Invisalign uses clear plastic removable aligners, made from 3D computer imaging technology, to straighten your teeth. Custom made and comfortable to wear, Invisalign is one of our preferred treatment options we provide our patients.

The secret to straight teeth

Gone are the days of unsightly brackets and wires when you need to have your teeth straightened. Today there's an innovative orthodontic method available that can straighten your teeth quickly, comfortably and discreet. It's known as Invisalign.

Invisalign aligners are made from clear, medical grade plastic and are custom-made to your teeth. They look a little bit like a thin sports mouthguard but fit on your teeth perfectly because they have been designed specifically for your teeth, and your teeth alone. There are no wires, no brackets and no elastic bands in sight - just a series of clear aligners. And what's more, they're removable, so you can take them out for eating, brushing and flossing.

Invisalign Teen

At Braces N Faces Orthodontics, we also offer Invisalign specifically for teens. Known as Invisalign Teen, this version of Invisalign is ideal for busy teenagers. The aligners are custom-made to the shape of your teen’s growing teeth and jaws so are comfortable to wear. This won’t cause any irritation or distract them from what they should be doing.

Just like Invisalign’s aligners, Invisalign Teen aligners can be removed for eating, brushing, flossing and for special occasions. So your teen can continue to do the things they love, such as playing sports and musical instruments. All they need to do is remove them before playing and pop them back in afterwards.

Keep track of Invisalign Teen

The key difference between Invisalign and Invisalign Teen is the blue dot wear indicator on Invisalign Teen aligners. To achieve the best results with Invisalign, teens must wear their aligners for 20-22 hours per day. The blue dot wear indictor on Invisalign Teen aligners help teens (and their parents) to keep track of the number of hours the aligners are being worn.
