They’re great for busy teen lifestyles and, because the aligners are custom-made to the shape of your teen’s growing teeth and jaws, they’re comfortable to wear. This won’t cause any irritation or distract them from what they should be doing.
One of the reasons we believe Invisalign is suitable for our teen patients is because the aligners are removable. This means your teen can take them out when eating, brushing, and flossing and for special occasions. With Invisalign treatment, your teen can continue to do the things they love, such as playing sports and musical instruments. All they need to do is remove them before playing and pop them back in afterwards.
For teens and adults to get the best result from their Invisalign treatment, it’s important the aligners are worn for the recommended 22 hours per day. We – and Invisalign – know teens can easily get distracted and forget to put their aligners back in after removing them for meals or sports practices. So, we can include a blue dot wear indicator to your teen’s Invisalign aligners to help them (and you) keep track of the number of hours the aligners are being worn.
